Step-by-step Procedure

TECHNICAL DIVISION

Office on Programs and Standards

  1. Processing of application for Government Permit to Operate Higher Education Institutions (HEIs);

1. Issue CHED-Form No. GPR-4 to the applicant;

2. Submit to CHED-ARMM the application with supporting documents;

3. Evaluate the application and supporting documents;

4. Inform the applicant to comply lacking requirements if any;

5. Forward to the Office of Regional Chairman for final scrutiny and review;

6. The Regional Chairman shall issue a Memorandum to the Technical Panel and CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQUAT) to conduct inspection to the applying new School;

7.   The Technical Panel and CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQUAT) shall conduct the inspection to the venue of applying organization;

  1. The Technical Panel and CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQUAT) shall submit the Evaluation Report  to the Regional Chairman;

8.  Special meeting with the Technical Panel, RQUAT and IQUAME shall be called by the Regional Chairman for its final assessment and final approval to operate; and

9.  Preparation of the Temporary Permit for signature of the Regional Chairman.

  1. Processing of application for Renewal of Permits for Course Offerings

1.   Receive the application letter from the HEIs applying for Renewal of Permit;

2.   Evaluate the attached supporting documents;

3.   Forward to the office of the Regional Chairman for remarks and comments; and

4.   Preparation of  the Renewal Permit for signature of the Regional Chairman.

  1. Processing of application for issuance of Government Recognition to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs);

1. Receive the application letter from the HEIs applying for Government Recognition;

2. Evaluate the attached supporting documents;

3. Forward to the office of the Regional

    Chairman for remarks and comments;

4. The Regional Chairman shall issue a Memorandum to the Technical Panel and CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQUAT) to conduct inspection and thorough evaluation to the applicant School;

5. The Technical Panel and CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQUAT) shall conduct the evaluation/inspection to the proposed School;

6. The Technical Panel and CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQUAT) submit the report  to the Regional Chairman;

7. Special Meeting for this concern shall be called for by the Regional Chairman; and

8. Preparation of the Government Recognition Certificate for signature by the Regional Chairman.

  1. Processing of application for Special Order;

1. Receive the School Registrar’s request for issuance of Special Order;

2. Check the entries on the Form IX of the individual student against the Enrollment List and Promotional Reports of the HEIs;

3. Evaluate the Form IX Course Content against the HEIs Degree Program Curriculum;

4. Prepare the Special Order for signature of authorized Officials;

5. Pay the Processing Fee of P100.00; and

    6. Release to the School Registrar the Special

    Orders.

  1. Issuance of Certification, Authentication and Verification (CAV); and

 

  1.   Check the documents  presented by the       applicant against the original;
  2. Pay the Processing fee of P100.00;
  3. Check the records to the existing files in the office;
  4. Prepare the CAV for signature of authorized Officials; and

 5. Release the CAV to the applicant.

 

  1. Issuance of Certification of Earned Units.

1. Check the documents  presented by the applicant against the original;

 

2. Pay the Processing fee of P100.00;

 

3. Check the records against the existing files in the office(Enrollment & Promotional reports);

 

4. Prepare the Certification for signature of authorized Officials; and

 

5. Release the Certification to the applicant.

TECHNICAL DIVISION

 

Office of Student Services

 

1.Scholarships and Grants;

1.  Regional Chairman shall issue a Memorandum to School Division Superintendent with Special Attention to Secondary Schools for information and  dissemination;

 

2.  Application Form to be provided by the Office of Student Services – Scholarship Division;

 

3. Screening and processing of Scholarship and Grants application;

 

4. Designation of CHED-ARMM Testing Centers for Qualifying Examinations;

 

5. Organize a committee composed of CHED-ARMM Personnel assigned as supervising Examiners/Proctors to conduct qualifying exam;

 

6. Checking of the answered Scholarship Qualifying Examination Questionnaires and Evaluation of Examination Results; and

 

7. Issuance of Certificate of Scholarship and Grant Award.


TECHNICAL DIVISION

 

Office of Student Services

 

2. Responding to student/client queries;

3. Dissemination of information on other scholarship opportunities; and

 4. Assistance to students attending relevant activities.

Formal written queries could be received by the office.

 

Reproduction and dissemination to HEIs’ opportunities for local and international scholarship programs.

 

Evaluation of the submitted request for  appropriate assistance and approval based on availability of funds.

Legal Services

 

1. Rendering Legal Opinions on matters relevant to higher education in ARMM;

 

2. Offering legal consultancy and services to prospective HEI operators; and

 

3.  Issuance of public notice on illegally operated HEIs subject to due process of law.
